First time in India, Portable life saving Aluminium Oxygen Cylinder In today’s stressful, polluted and fast moving life more and more people are using oxygen therapy outside the hospital permitting them to lead productive lives. People with asthma, chronic bronchitis, occupational lung disease, lung disease, lung cancer, cystic fibrosis or congestive heart failure may use oxygen at home. Approximately fifty million people in India have Asthma, a lung disease that affects people of all ages and races. There is no cure for Asthma. It’s something you will have to live with for the rest of your life. Asthma cannot be cured but it can be controlled. The first step towards controlling Asthma is to see a doctor who is well informed about it and developments like portable Aluminium Oxygen Cylinder. “Importance of oxygen can not be denied for heart patients. At the time of heart attack oxygen can be given to patient as first aid, it can save valuable life” says Dr Tarun Doshi of K.K. hospital at Dahisar (Mumbai). Allergies are quite common in children. According to the American Association for Respiratory care, the majority of children who are hospitalized are admitted with respiratory tract illness. In terms of childhood diseases, the respiratory system is most critical. Environmental pollution and tobacco smoke from other family member can have serious effects on respiratory health of youngsters. If the life savings gas-”Oxygen” is readily delivered to the needy patient in time, then many medical complications can be avoided. Unfortunately there has been no innovation or improvement in oxygen delivery system. This often causes tremendous delay and inconvenient in delivering oxygen to the serious patients. “Today, people who regularly use oxygen find cylinder very heavy, immovable, rusted and not easy to operate this makes the patients to confine to their beds. The shape of traditional cylinder, the valve system, regulator, the tubing of oxygen delivery assembly and maintenance makes life of user unimaginably complex and inconvenient. Other option than traditional cylinder available is oxygen concentrator but it is beyond the reach of middle class families due to its cost and maintenance. At time of emergency one can not even think of having oxygen available until ambulance arrives then again not all ambulances are equipped with oxygen facility”. Says Dr. Tarun Doshi. Other areas where one needs additional Oxygen are at high altitude, while driving through heavy traffic; people working under special working conditions also require additional Oxygen for human beings to in perfect health. Sportsmen who under go rigorous practice everyday oxygen will a boon to their performance. It is surprising that for last fifty years, there has not been a single innovation in the delivery system of oxygen. Today we have embarked upon information technology, automation and new scientific discoveries but no body has even thought of life saving gas oxygen. Finally some one has to take the first step.
